Teaser pics....grill neon....whorage to come!!
This is the setup I used for grill neons.....looks frigin sweet BTW
I used the front plastic wind thingy on the bottom of the car...seeing how it fell off and didn't feel I needed it.....cut it up to accomidate 2 "9 neons, the lip that was already there served as a good base for the neons. Underneath the neons is a strip of "peel and seal"/"quick roof" for reflection purposes. Then I JB welded the sun-o-beatch to the grill!! Ain't going anywhere......just got to remember to LIGHTLY shut the hood from now on!!

NICE!
Dave, that looks super impressive already!
The only neon I'd been considering for my car was a 3 inch right behind the emblem. I've always wanted to localize that tiny area and shine some green out of it. What do you think?

I started my own thread.
In the meanwhile, I'm really looking forward to seeing how yours comes out Dave. Looks like a good clean install from those pics!

Most neon grilles on this Forum put them on either side of the hood latch assembly on the upper radiator support. They stay there when the hood goes up so the slamming of the hood doesn't disrupt them, or the wiring issues that you will run into.
The effect is the same when the hood is closed, but the neons never move.
Try a good silicone adhesive instead of JB weld. JB is hard and brittle when put on flexible stuff. Silicone will bend and flex, but not let go.

Both the piece that holds the neons....and the grill are hard plastic......the JB should do the job!!

I have my grille neons mounted below the grille so they light the grille and the bumper opening
