Default Taillights...i messed around with 'em (Pics)

Well...i wasn't planning on doing anything Sunday...and I had nothing to do really....

so i go outside and look at the car :? and think...and then i backed it up next to the garage and went to town...

1st thing, i found my Fuse Box cover:
before:

after:

2nd i look at the rear of the car....think for a minute, opend the trunk, partialy removed the carpet on the sides, went inside and got the metric sockets and a driver and got busy
took the outers out

disassembled

cleaned and dried, then set out in the sun to make sure to get all the water out

while drying, i decided to apply the pontiac decal to the other headlight, not sure i like it though, not to mention i applied it just enough higher than the other side for me to notice:

then back to the lights; rebuild and replace

CLEARED TAILS...but i need to get new bulbs soon

now, what to do with these

actually, i just set those on the car to get an idea of what cleared would look like, I kinda like it...
I actually rebuilt the tails and resealed them, i had a ton of water inside, trunsignal light sockets were full of water :? , no corosion though so that was good

in the process i they were fully delamed over the brake lense (thanks to dad fingering the stripes ...it was gona happen anyway, it was just cut short a year or so :?

well it rained last night and i found water inside yet again
i'm pretty sure i resealed the inside good, i think its the very outer part of the lense that is letting the water in now....bah, that'll come anotehr weekend, and maybe i'll actually clear it, or restripe it....one of the two or both

I like the cleared look.
Get some good sealant on them and leave 'em clear

Just curious. When you separate the lights or add heat to them, doesn't that delaminate the black inner lines? I know it does on the lid mounted tails. How do you fix the black lines on the outers if they become delaminsted?
