Some Say Chrome Sucks w/ Silver, Some for Chrome w/ Silver
Hey, I need your advice on this topic, I'm in the market for a new set of rims. I know I posted a thread about this already but I want to make sure I don't make a mistake, I'm sure other have made mistakes and learned from it and I want to avoid that. It'* costly by the way.
I want a set of chrome rims. 16x7, I haven't yet decided on the style yet. The problem is that I have a 99 Bville that is silver. Some say that silver and chrome doesn't work and it sucks. Some say it looks good (I'm the one for it). I know that some guys will say it'* your car, it'* your decision but remember I unoffically adopted you guys as my new family so I want your opinion. Chrome, Black, painted, or anything else

It'* purely a matter of personal taste. If you like it, do it.
I persoanlly don't like chrome on any "modern" cars. Just don't look right, to me. But that is my opinion, and should have no influence on what you decide looks good on your car.

PAINTED ALL THE WAY
I personally dont like chrome very much, i think it looks best on dark colored cars, especially black.
Black rims: ONLY with a polished lip, when the rim doesnt have a polished lip, and the tire gets dirty, the tire and the rim look terrible together, it makes the two blend together and look very bad. The polished or chrome lips help to separate the rim from the tire, and adds a very nice contrast to the combination.

I know that, I can do what i want but I want to be voted Car of the Month, once I get my pics up after modifications.
I kinda like the black rims too but at the same time, I don't want the car to look "dirty", what I mean by that is like brake dust, the black rim would look like a regular rim caked with brake dust. I have seen silver cars with black rims and I love them. So now black rims are a serious consideration along with chromies.
I think I posted a link with a pic of a black rim that i like. Let me see if I can find it.
