i live in a similar area as far as cops. although in indiana you can go 5% and be legal so they never stop me for 20%. i think ill be ok but looking at indiana law you are supposed to have 2 reflectors on the back, and from this pic i took with my blackberry lastnight, its sketchy but i think i could argue that it still reflects back

the floodlight was making it reflect down the center strip. i think headlights would better.

im also considering led conversion bulbs for my taillight. that way it compensated for the tint. but my car takes 10 bulbs lol. thats like almost $100 just for the taillights.

i am concerned about cops though. we have a 4 lane road with a center turn lane all the way down its 10 miles and the speedlimit is 35 and they pull you over for 36 lol.

2 things you might want to keep in mind. in the first post on this page about the reflectors, a cars lights will be from straight on i dont think you would see the reflector even with headlights at that angle. im sure your reflectors can be seen cause mine look darker and you can still see mine from head on.
another thing is you have a 3rd brake light, the darkness off the light shouldnt matter unless you absolutely cant see through it. people should be able to see your tail lights especially when the 3rd brake light is on.

i ended up re doin them in 35%. you cant really tell a difference lookin at it with them off, but with them on its like night and day. i only did the trunk in 35 and left the side lights just to see, and off they all looked the same but on i could barley see my running lights on the sides. but in the center they were bright, so i just redid them all. and hey it was only $22 all together. that wont buy me one coil lol. and on the upside, ive got about 5 feet of both to sell on craigs to someone stupid most likely for more than i paid lol
