So I went to the DMV to renew the SLE'* tags......
And wouldn't you know, the custom plates beckoned me.
$114 out the door for two years (instead of $54 2-year renewal on existing plates), and 75 bucks every two years after that instead of 54 standard.
And would you believe the person that had my #1 choice for plates let them expire? 4 months ago. Had the plates for 7 years.
And within a couple days of administrative time, they'll be MINE if they don't miraculously renew before next Tuesday.
If I don't get my #1 choice, my #2 is available:

Got the registration today. 6 more weeks and I'll have the plates:
The dude that let these expire beyond 90 days is going to be PISSED when he goes back to renew, and can't do it.
