Goof-off. I wouldn't personally use the paint for any high-wear location. If you do use the paint, clean the parts THOROGHLY with mild warm soapy water, and rinse well.

Would it be practical to do an entire interior plastic colour change with paint like this?

I have done two interiors with a similar paint. It looked great for a while. The problem with changing colors is any time you have a scratch it shows the old color.
The paint does hold well however, so scratches are due to big accidents.
Everyday wear will eventually show the old color also.
So, it really depends on how long you are expecting to keep the car, or the length
of time in which you are willing to spray it again.

IF they have the right color, I would recommend that Krylon Fusion stuff. It'* made specifically for plastic, and would bond much better.

If you were painting the dash and pieces like that, there would be no wear and tear on them. Does it work on softer plastics too? or just the hard ones...

Krylon fusion may be good on plastic, but the SEM can in the pic above was specifically made for flexible plastic and Vinyl automotive applications, and IS available in the right color

Fusion is ok. I was less then impressed after about 10 months of wear on PVC under my front bumper. Then again, just the march trip to TO was 2000 miles of weather hell.

Krylon fusion sucks!

I painted my mouse with that crap, and the paint didn't stick worth a lick. It would come off on my hands all the time, and it didn't seem to have cured after 2 months. I repainted it with some dupli colour, and it'* been 4 months already, and its only now starting to wear away [this is MANY, MANY hours of use].
