So I've heard that those Porter Cable Buffers are good for removing paint defects such as small scratches, etc. However, im new to using these kinda things, and have always done things by hand. I attempted Meguiars ultimate compound awhile back by hand to fix paint defects but it kills to do that work by hand. Wondering if it would be worth it to get a buffer at some point. Let me all know whatyou think.

Yes, it'* worth it. I have a PC and it'* great for cleaning up the paint. I also have a large rotary buffer, but I don't suggest getting one of those unless you really know what your doing.

I have a PC as well and second the recommendation. Make sure you get enough pads, always use the least aggressive cutting power necessary for the job and clean the pads when you are finished.

Far easier and more effective than hand polishing and far safer than a rotary buffer.

The short answer is yes but there are products that will work well by hand. The only problem is it will kill ya. LOL
