Default REPAINTING SPOILER

I was just given a 99 Black Grand Am GT basically for free, the spoiler on it is really faded and needs to be repainted but it is going to cost me 275$ for someone to do it for me. Can someone help me out and give me some details on how to make this a "do it yourself project?"

On a black car... (aka. the toughest color) I'm not sure you could "do it yourself" and have it come out looking really good with out experience.
