99% of spray bombs are enamel. The duplicolor clear shown in the can is a cheap lacquer. If you want to really do it right you should use a urethane clear. Rattle can primer has no UV resistance. Catalyzed paints are good, uncatalyzed is junk(IMO). If the paint doesn't require a hardner(catalyst) then I don't use it.

dupli-color has clear enamel too.

just for the record...heres how my first spray went
i sprayed one of my moving containers. since im in college, i got plenty of those clear containers.

started off with a strong burst of spray in which it totally dripped down and then lightened up a bit into more of a sparkle spray where its like somewhat sparsely spread apart from each other.

I guess tagging buildings isnt your thing (nor mine)

Heres a few pointers from when I did my tails

Make sure they are super clean, use a strong cleaner to remove any wax that my have gotten on the lights (dish soap will work)
Then get some fine sand paper and do a water sand on them so the paint has something to stick to ( 600+ on the sand paper, make sure its the kind you can use wet or dry, then put some water on the lights and lighlty sand)
Next step wash them again after a sand, theyll be nice and hazy thats how you want them.
Now find somewhere thats somewhat warm and wind free, your gonna make one hell of a mess if its windy
After that spray a few quick shots of paint to see how the can nozzle is, then do some a few lights coats across the light, a little bit first just to cover, let it set as per can directions and go from there, If you want to get fancy do a nice light wet sand in between each coat to get rid of any orange peel, then after they are dark enough do a coat of clear, let dry and water sand and then reclear,

Dont rush this or they are going to be junk, take your time
