Default Rear reflector mod??

I was thinking of different mods for the exterior of the car...and thought it might be cool if the rear reflector strip on the trunk lit up, rather than just reflected light. I've never seen the back of one...but I would imagine it would be fairly easy to modify it and put some LEDs inside for tail lamps or just braking maybe. Let me know what you guys think.

I have thought the same thing. I've looked at some broaken ones and it looks like if you drill through the back reflector, it should work. I'm just waiting to find a 2nd reflector "cheap" at the local yard. I plan on a single row od bulbs accross at the same level as the running lights. I'm just going to make them the running lights.

Thats what I was thinking. I've never seen the back of one in person, but it seems to me that it would be very easy to drill some holes and mount some lights. I think it would look really nice.

Moved to Detailing and Appearance. The 2000-2005 section is for posting mechanical problems only.

That'* kind of the look I was going for (late 90s Lincoln mark vii). That was done by a neon tube reflecting the light onto a mirror. Pretty neat lookin I think.
