Default Pinstripes?? *Poll added please vote*

I dont really like pin stripes but when I took mine off there are still marks where they were before. I would just get the stick ons, and they pretty easy to apply?

Also, what color would look best? Im torn between gold and silver... I now have clear corners also-

Yeah I have steady hands so it shouldn't be too hard. Should I use alcohol to clean the paint before or anything else I put them on?

And when you apply them... start at the headlight pull off enough to go to the tail light.. then align it it'* way hard to line everything up if you do it one panel at a time

Are you just putting new ones on because of the marks? Have you ever polished the paint? If not, the marks are probably from the fact that the paint under the stripes has been protected while the rest of the paint is weathered. I would try polishing first to see if you can make it look better.

Yeah I've tried polishing it but maybe I wasn't doing it right. What would you recommend?

Ditto that. ScratchX is said to be a pretty good one for hand polishing, but it will take quite a while.

Multi speed Polisher low speed 800-1000 rpm setting and a high quality micro compound... followed by a high quality glaze (3m) then a high luster polish.
