I know there is a post about this, but i couldnt find it. Anyways, i hate the look of the rusty hub. I plan to paint it soon, since its nice out. I originally planned on going with black, but i was thinking red might look good to match the caliper or maybe it would be too much. What is everyones opinion.

black or silver i think red would be too much

Silver would be the way to go imho.

I was getting ready to do Black. Silver would look good too. Red would be too much.
I think I'll stay with Black. When the rust comes thru again, maybe it would be so obvious.

I painted mine silver since mine was rusting also and I used high temp caliper paint.The silver shows up better than the black.Looks good since the GXP rims show a lot of the rotors.I was thinking red also but the red caliper paint I used om my Trans Am calipers was more of an brighter orange-red paint and woulden match the GXP darker red and I also thought it might be too much red even if I could find a red to match,You want to use high temp paint since the rotors get hot.Also the caliper paint I used was made with cerramic and said that brake dust would not stick to it like maybe a header or engine paint and I havent had a problem with the brake dust but I installed Ceramic brake pads and these help a lot with hardly any dust on the rims.The paint I used was made by Dupli-color and they have it at Advance or Autozone.I cant remember which place I got it from.

I picked up some Black Dupli-color today at Murray'* for $17. I may paint them next weekend. I'll get pictures... hopefully, before and after shots.

Paint is done on my GXP. Looks good. I did go with Black. I do wonder if Silver would have been better, but I'm happy with my choice.

The DupliColor kit came with paint, brush, & paint. I applied 3 coats and needed an extra brush. I only used about half the paint to do the brackets and rotors on all four corners. I also painted the ODs of all the rotors and the cooling fins on the front rotors. You will need to apply at least two coats.

I'll take a better picture after I get it cleaned up. It'* been raining for the last few days.

I'm sure glad to see those rusty rotors gone... Now we'll see how long it lasts.

Looks good...I am definatly gonna go with silver now.

Here is a before and an after... black, using Rustoleum high temp (bbq grill) paint. Was super easy and one coat did it. Did this last summer and it has held up very well.
