Default painted rims

The color is soposed to be out of a Toyota Sequoia (never seen it in that color).
The color changes depending on the light, they are gold during the day, then bronce in the afternon, & they look black at night. (pics give the color no justice).
They will go on the 95 SSE. & im thinking on painting the car flat black.

That would look VERY nice.

Can I ask... assuming YOU painted the rims, how did you prep the surface beforehand? Just thorough cleaning & scuff? Or did you sand the heck out of it to get it bare then paint? I'm going to put money on the first method, as the second method would have left that GM logo a bit more flat and blurry that it is.

I cleande them really good with some degreaser, & then sanded them with 400, 600, & 800. Then the rest got done at my friends bodyshop.
