I was working under fluorescents in my garage and it was looking pretty good so we'll see.

Ha, I was thinking of posting some pics but didn't figure it would be too exciting for anybody. I'll try to snap a few tomorrow.

Absolutely terrible...and he lives right across from my folk'* house! Oh well, I'm having fun fixing it actually so it'* turning out alright.
Both times I had my last Bonne in the body shop, I found very noticeable orange peel and other defects when I got the car back. I had to fix it myself too. Some shops go the extra mile and make sure everything'* right. Some just don't care....or just don't know what they're doing. But I'll assume the first.

well you sorta right, its not that they dont care but when you are crunched for time you cant nit pick, however i have seen some real **** leave shops. And sometimes when you are it a rush to get a job done and out to get the next one done you dont see the orange peel (yes its happend to me too) I will never let somthing go if its really bad (like gravle guard type texture) something like that i will ether water sand and polish or it its really bad i would re sand and reclear that panle. Oh and just so you guys know oranger peel isnt always caused by the paint being sprayed badly, I have had a panle (a hood lets say) Look FANTASTIC when i was dont spraying the clear, but when it was done baking it looked orange peely, its just the name of the game sometimes Like my colage teacher told me, "if you spray a panle and it doesnt have any peel you have done something wrong"
