six months, absolutely, hands down. I apply every six moths of LG, i had it fresh on when i was in Oregon, she looked real purdy after it rained on the way back, honest, top quality stuff.

As to the comments about Liquid Glass and the like, I'm not saying LG, Meguiar'*, etc. are bad products by any means, but I think there is one thing that needs to be cleared up.
NXT Tech Wax is actually a hybrid of a polymer sealant and a carnauba wax. I've gotten durability of 3-4 months from it, at most. Liquid Glass is a full-on polymer sealant which, yes, can last up to 6 months. However there are just as many good products out there which will fit the bill, such as Meguiar'* M20 Polymer Sealant, M21 Synthetic Sealant, or Zaino (among others). That is, IF you are looking for a sealant. It is also important to remember that by nature, you can't just buy "wax" and expect it to last as long as a sealant; the wax doesn't generally posess the same surface-bonding properties that are engineered into a paint sealant. No one product is better than another, it just depends on what you prefer for the look/etc
I also have to mention this: No product on the market is going to work to its full potential without proper surface prep prior to sealing and/or waxing. I think I would worry more about what is done to make the paint ready for the "Last Step Products {LSPs}" than what LSP in particular you're using. Any wax/sealant will last longer on a vehicle that has been properly cleaned/polished and prepared for it.
So, for those looking for the ideal "consumer-grade, DIY" paint prep and protection regimen, I'd grab Meguiar'* Deep Crystal Step 1 and Step 2 (the Cleaner and Polish) and follow this with 2 coats of the NXT Tech Wax (or something similar). Also, don't wait quite so long to apply a new coat. The reason it takes people so long to apply wax to their un-prepped vehicles is that there is NO protection, and usually lots of gunk on/in the paint that needs attention during the residue buff-off. The more often you apply, the less time and effort you'll have to put forth each time.
Here'* a '00 SLE in Maple Red (I think it was Maple Red) that was prepped with Meguiar'* M80 series polishes, and topped by 2 coats of the NXT liquid:
