Did you use VHT NIGHTSHADES, or some other VHT?

That looks WAY too dark or 'solid' for Nightshades. Let'* see the can you used, and how heavy were the coats you applied?

How soon after the VHT did you clear them?

What do people use for the clear coat on VHT anyway? Because all paints are different and may react differently with each other. I'm stumped how a clear coat didn't add gloss though.

I would paint the entire light so there is no edge in the paint like you have there.

After my last coat of VHT I waited 30-45mins then applied the Duplicolor clear onto it...

What do you reccommend? Painting it??

use some paint thinner and take it all off. start over. buy the can I showed you. wait much longer between coats, just to be safe.

couldn't you take that edge off where the night shades ends by wet sanding with some 1000 grit?

I ordered my can from CarQuest. Maybe VHT changed their packaging, who knows... this auction looks like the can I have.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/VHT-N...QQcmdZViewItem

after some reading, use lacquer thinner not paint thinner

1 more can should be fine. if you need a tad extra, I have a spare can.
