i want to polish some of them engine parts, when i change my head gaskets. like the Supercharger, the alternator, and anything else that can be done,ok, are you ready what is the best way to polish, i was was told to start with some 80 grit sand paper and just move your way on up till you hit 1200 then wet sand with 1200 :? is this the proper way to wet sand


BTW if you know anything else i could polish on my engine please let me know

So you know, polishing the SC will hamper it'* ability to shed heat a bit. The paint is there for good thermal transfer. It'* been polished for looks though. To each his own.

The alternator could be painted. If you get the aluminum valve covers off a 3800 F-body, you could polish those. Do something with the engine cover, paint, vent, etc. A nice aluminum intake pipe with a shield around the filter.

Why are you changing the head gaskets?

look at the video, im just doing the stuff that i need for my car. would the valve cover from a 3800 Fbody fit on to my series 1 :?

I don't see anything in the other thread about head gaskets.

The aluminum covers will fit perfectly.
