This is just my opinion, but I think looks dumb. Why do I say that? Your car isn't red. If you color match that red outline it will look a lot better in my opinion.

the 18'* i'm looking at have a red line around the lip and there will also be a red pin stripe down the sides and across the back just haven't got there yet

Ahhh ok. It should look better with more red then, just right now it looks out of place.
