Default My Rims are ghostly, not ghastly, ghostly...

Ok, so a while back before I cared, I got some spray stuff that promised to clean my rims real easily. Well what happened was the dirt did leave, but so did the gloss. Now the chrome, or polished aluminum is got those streeks of...like clouds or white or whateve, its just plain dingey, and after hours of removing the latest coat of dirt, I now care and want them to shine!!
so what do I do?
Any ideas??

Thanks

Tom

Tom:
To help you we really need a picture of the problem. It sounds like you have the surface dirt off of the rims so first I would use an old claybar to try and remove the imbedded dirt. I would also try some Mothers wheel polish after the claybar. If you find success with these two procedures I would coat the wheels with a synthetic wax to preserve the shine and make them easier to clean. Mothers has a new synthetic product line titled Reflections and I have been reading nice comments about the entire line of products.
