M62 polishing?

Is it possible? Just curious...not even sure what the coating is on it.

the case itself?
I wouldnt, its coated with heat transfer paint, it allows the casting to breath really well...less heat...less KR...less KR..happier butt dyno!

I don't think I'd have the patience to do it anyway. I just like how the M90 is bare metal. I knew whatever was on the M62 had to be there for a reason. :)

Andrew, that's exactly what I wish mine looked like! It would go so well with the rest of my engine bay. :(

the M62 has the "paint" and it supposed to be a thermal transfer....I would NOT remove it

Allright, whats the method then? Wheel cleaner, polishing, or just one before it had a chance to corrode?

Comming to think of it....one of us is a corrosion expert..(Can't remember what I read) Any advice?

harofreak00 08-27-2006 06:56 PM

that was strictly wire brush

For a full polish you'll probably need to sand many times, then keep polishing like you would metal, dremel or some air tools may help..
