those are the style bulbs I would reccoment, just not those switchback ones.

Keep in mind many of the newer cars have a bright LED, or LED like, signature in their rear assemblies.

After briefly talking with cc, and seeing some of his posts... he is just way ahead of the curve on this stuff.
