I've use Mc Guires leather conditioning once before. Will this product increase the life of my leather? I'm working full time landscaping now and noticed that dirt is starting to show on it. I want to prevent cracking as well.
It will be fine in cold weather, but try to apply conditioner to leather that has warmed up, i.e. apply it in cold weather after the car has warmed up and been driven around for awhile.

what I have used in the summer for cheap seat covers when I am all sweaty is a beach towel. Tuck the top into the headrest and the rest will pretty much cover the seat. Its cheap and easy to take on/off.
I used the Meguiar'* aloe cleaner and conditioner today on my leather during my lunchbreak. Made 'em look a lot better, been about 6 months since I've cleaned the seats. Just don't use Armorall on the seats (creates drying and cracking) and you should be swell.
