I'm detailing my entire car inside and out. After spending 3 hours on the back seat and still not being done I have questions! First what is the best conditionor for old leather that hasn't been taken great car of? (cracks, scratchs...etc..)
Second is before I condition I always Clean my leather. I heard I can use baby whipes and that they work just as well, is this true? I've been using warm soapy water with a very mild soap and using a tooth brush. Does anyone have a better suggestion?

meguires leather products work nice. you can't get rid of cracks but when i used the leather conditioner it turned it from really stiff to squishy soft. now the leather actually feels super comfy and its awesome. meguires makes a leather cleaner, a leather conditioner, and a combo with cleaner and conditioner in one...their stuff works wonders.

Lexol to clean, Meguires conditioner after. Trust me. Call a furniture place, ask em what they use for there leather.....Lexol

Yeah I used Meguire'* two part leather cleaner and conditioner, and was very happy with the result....but my leather I think is in considerably better condition, either way I think it'd help your situation.

I use Leatherique Rejuvenator Oil and Leatherique Prestine Clean. The two step system works well for me. Cost a little more but it sure will clean up dirty seats and make them look like new. No product can repair cracked leather but Leatherique does tend to make the cracks less noticeable.
