The goop is Turtle Wax Emerald Series Leather Conditioner and Cleaner. About the consistency of hair conditioner. I do that twice a year, with the armor-all leather wipes in between.

I tried using the armorall orange wipes to remove ballpoint ink from the leather seats, and it had absolutely no effect. Shucks.

Well.. I will have to try it Bill.. hopefully it will work for me.. when my car went into the shop.. those idiots put a tire in the rear seat and stained a tire tread pattern on it.. Was going to try Goo Gone, but don't know how safe that is.. but maybe I will try Goo gone first.. if it doesn't work.. the orange wipe.. and then finish it off with that Turtle GOOP

Any commercial leather conditioner for cars. I use the stuff made by turtle wax, but not in the spray bottle. I like to apply by hand.

I'm using "Tanner'* Preserve" Leather conditioning cream, made by Eagle Ottawa. They claim to be the leading leather supplier to the automotive industry.

It seems to work nicely, but DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT get it near your steering wheel. You will have almost no grip on the wheel and it'* very dangerous. How do I know this? Well, on the container it says not for steering wheels. But I told myself, "ya, but MY steering wheel is special and it is leather". Don't do it.

[quote="BonneMeMN"]Hrm.... Think it would work well on the lower door panels? Those things got black lines all over them.[quote]

Mr. Clean magic eraser made mine look like new, i was amazed and it didn't take a whole lot of scrubbing with them either.
