proper balance, alignment, shocks/struts current state, driving habits are all major factors. I had an old Nissan and never got more than 15,000 miles on a set of tires. I had Yokohama, Dunlop, Comp T?A, and the M word. They lasted between 12,000 and 15,000 per set. The compound and rating are the biggest factors.

But i've never been a big fan off white lettering or whitewalls.
