How do I get my Bonnie's bod preped for Liquid Glass?
Nu-finish is one of the worst IMO. It never lasts, and doesn't have a hard finish. That'* why he'* after Liquid Glass.
Do a search on "liquid glass" on this forum, search for all terms with me as the author. You might be surprised.

Liquid Glass is the closest thing to a clearcoat that you can get. Used car dealers use it for that purpose. I challenge you to wax half your car with Nu-Finish, and the other half with Liquid Glass. I did the same thing with Mequiar'* Gold Class and Liquid Glass on my Honda Civic before I sold it. Look it up here. If all you've ever used is Nu-Finish, how do you know how it would compare? I've used both products. I'll take Liquid Glass.

First of all, my experience with Nu-Finish is horrible.
Secondly, my Liquid Glass gets applied in full sunlight, as it states on the can that you should.
Third, I've never had spots or streaks, because I didn't have any wax remaining when applying it (as Marty'* case would probably show).
Third, get back on topic. If you want to start a debate, start a new topic. I believe this topic is "How do I prep for Liquid Glass", not "What'* the best wax".

i have used nu finish before and it was real nice on my old white car, a 90 cutlass calais. i tried it on my blueish green 96 regal, it sucked- as did every thing else i had the patience to try. on my garnet red metallic 99 blazer, i used nothing but duragloss clear coat polish and it was AWESOME. on my burgundy 88 toyota camry I used a 3 step process and a buffer with meguires stuff and it was like glass when i was done. so different cars, different paint, different levels of contaminants/old wax on the finish, etc etc etc. there are many good waxes/polishes out there, and too many variables. youll never know how good/bad something works for you unless you try.
speaking of which, i also want to try the liquid glass on my bonneville, or maybe the NXT stuff (but I hate the ricer bottle) and I will also probably try the duragloss CCP again. I dread waxing my car though, since its black.

I will stand and vouch for Liquid Glass. It is the best, hands down, polish in my garage now, and I doubt any other could even stand a chance next to its durability. Gold Class Meguiars even wears off WAY faster in weather VS Liquid Glass...I re apply every 6 months, an I also use the pre-cleaner, good good stuff. I saw Bill'* old Honda this August, it had Liquid glass on it, very high mileage car, looked GREAT. I had it on my Bonneville before making the trip down to Oregon. Paint honestly looked new, hands down.
