Default Are the hoods the same?

Ok......been looking into getting another hood as a spare so I can work on making my hood scoops semi-fuctional. I was wondering if all the hoods from 92-99 are the same??? Plus I have the 97 SSEi grille and was wondering if the grille would bolt right up to a 92-95?? Just wondering if the option is there so I can stop looking around for just a 96-99 hood!!

I think the hood is different for the generations, becuase of the grill. They are different shapes and sizes from gen to gen. But I am probably wrong, so let an expert chime in.

I'm anything but a trim level specialist, but I know that Pat and I were comparing his '93 grill and hood to my '97 and they certainly did not look interchangeable to me.

The hood part numbers from 92-99 are remarkably similar. Quite identical, actually.

12374495. For every car from 92-99.

Beat me to it. Yeah, they are all the same.

There may be slight differences from year to year, but they are all cross-compatible.

OK, I buy that the hoods are the same, but the grills are not going to match at the bumper cover and headlamps, IIRC.

Correct. You simply install the grille you need on any hood.
