helpful post. but now I have what may be, a stupid question. Why is it that the HID kits from DDMtuning are so cheap and the ones from 3bspecialties are more expensive? Is there a difference? I'm planning on putting HID'* on my 99 SLE...in the headlights and fogs.

I'm not one to buy something German or Chinese, I'm a domestic type of guy. At least when it comes to vehicles. lol. So I guess I should go with the Germany made ones huh? Considering they're "better quality"?

I know. it'* depressing really. Kinda sucks when you boil it down. Soon, I wouldn't be surprised if GM was taken over by Honda. That would get me so angry..

I need to retract my comment about 3bspec being German made.

Wanted to make 100% for sure so I emailed one of the owners at 3b and Hanh said 2 years ago they switched to a company from Taiwan.

So 3bspec is no longer German made but Taiwan.

If I had to guess......switching was purely a financial move. Same product, lower cost per unit boughten from Taiwan.

I'd buy from DDM Tuning if I was you. Why pay more for the same thing?

I've got DDM lights here. Just need to find the time to get them in. Pretty nice set up and the cost was wickedly right!
