Default Hey you, with chrome torque stars...

Anyone ever had to replace their plastic (chrome) lugnut covers? Where do you get 'em? I discovered one missing recently, which I think might have happened the last time I had my tires rotated... the shop replaced it for free, but it'* probably only a matter of time until other covers start falling off. When removing them and polishing my wheels, I've noticed several of them have cracks near the base that keep them from screwing on completely.

Hehe, well I'd like to rely on less-than-criminal methods of lugnut cap replacement if possible... Tire shops obviously have them in stock, so I wondered if anyone had ever found them at a parts store or elsewhere.

I get black ones from the dealer. They have chrome also.

I carry spares. They tend to fly off at certain speeds.

Okay, I'll be poking around eagerly later tonight! Actually I never thought to check the dealership ... and am pleasantly surprised to hear that they can be purchased for a reasonable price.

Speaking of things flying off at certain highway speeds, has anyone ever noticed how many black rubber bungee cords can be seen all over the road on any given day? It seems as if they fly off secured loads at whim, so I'd recommend the stretchy colored cords...
