Default Heavy duty paint for metal

I'm not sure what it'* called/which brands are good quality.

It'* the super-tough/glossy paint they use on fancy brake calipers, aftermarket suspension pieces, etc.

I'm heading to my local auto-supply store tomorrow, and I'm trying to figure out which brand/type of paint to use.

X2 on the duplicolor.

hit it with the high temp clearcoat for some extra durability and gloss.

I have a can of ceramic caliper paint. Very shinny, goes on easy and is very strong. Got it at Autozone for $20 and one can goes a long way. I think its duplicolor.

Should I sand the old paint off first, or just spray right over it? (after cleaning, of course.)

Venom has had great luck with barbecue paint on his calipers, and at half the cost!

and...when he slams on the brakes, its smells like short ribs!
