Default Grille Question

I have a 2004 Bonneville SLE and what I want to know is if I wanted to put chrome grille inserts in, does a grille from a 2000-2005 fit on an '04?

For example, this one: http://www2.partstrain.com/store/?N=...LE+2004+Grille

Thanks.

thats only for the SE model'* only
yes the 2000-2005 inserts will fit

you might be better off going to GMPD www.gmpartsdirect.com and going to the catalog link
enter the make model and year of the car and search "grille" you want the one for the SLE SSEi

Thanks for clearing that up. So is there not a chrome grille available for the SLE, then?

sorry about that.

There just the new grille'* stock, OEM. There are some members with aftermarket girlles and hopefully someone will catch this post and chime in, im not sure where to find them. There is a second option.... paint. I painted mine chrome metallic and used a primer first.
does the job nice and cheap and not ghetto by any means

hope it works out for ya

Im not a 100%, but Ive never seen one for the SLE. & Ive looked around, so your chances of finding one that is not custom ordered are slim.

Hey, I have replaced my grilles completely in my 94 SSEi. Here are some pictures. Click on them for bigger images.

That third pic shows off really nicely the dice and air fresheners!

I took generic wire cutters and tore out the grille. Then, because I didn't want to use glue, I drilled holes in the housing. I bought an aftermarket grille sheet that'* pretty big, and you can just cut from it what you want. Then, I used blue cable zip ties to put on the grille. With Wal Mart "touchup" paint that goes on like nail polish, I painted the cable ties. In those pictures, it was not all finished yet, but I've spent some time flexing the grille and readjusting the ties, and now it'* even.

Well, you can avoid the adjustment hassle by getting some "Quik" JB Weld to put the grille on there. The issue I had with this is that I didn't want to deal with JB Weld and plastic from 94. I figured it would just eat away at it a bit more quickly than expected.

This might not explain everything, but I can take some more pictures (once I find my camera), and with this I've subscribed to the thread, so just ask away.

That sounds like a good way of doing it. Do you have any pictures?
