Default getting hard water deposits off of glass

I live out in the country somewhat and have well water. even with the water softener when i was my car at home it comes out beautifully except for the white filmy buildup on the windows. windex, window washer fluid and gm auto glass cleaner all do nothing against this stuff. does anyone know anything that will keep me from having a nice clean car with white splotched windows?

:? Some well water contains sulphur, which affects glass. Are you sure this isn't the case?

it may contain sulfur, we don't drink it. if we don't change the salt in the softener it smells like eggs so yea it probably has sulfur in it.

i'd have to wash my car here again to get a better picture of it. you can see it on the windshield on that one.

I can see it. Try this:

Apply full-strength vinegar or lemon juice and let stand until spot disappears, then rinse. Repeat if necessary.

Try it on an inconspicuos part of the windshield first, then see how it goes.

Vinegar should work well, then.
