What do you consider bad millage? I get about 27 or 28 on the highway if I'm good. If my evil foot takes over I get 18 or so.

Things you can do to improve millage is change the plugs, change the oil, change the O2 sensor(this one will give you the best improvement). Check your tire pressure, and leave your evil foot at home.

With a well maintained and tuned car driven right you can get 30 to 32 on the highway

Provided what kind of driving your doing, you should be better. If your doing all city driving that'* not to far off base. If thats high way doing, then your way off.

I would say changing the O2 sensor would be a good start.

A junk yard would be your best bet for that.
