I own my own cleaning business and use microfiber cloths for everything. They're really great at getting glass and mirrors streak-free. Unless you have a greasy film on your windows all you'll need is to have a microfiber cloth folded into fourths, slightly dampen one side and clean the window, turn the cloth over and use the dry side to make sure it'* streak-free. For the windshield you'll probably want to do it in at least two sections to make sure the water doesn't dry before you wipe it off.

Maybe your window tracks/sills are dirty where the felt/fuzzyness goes into the window?

I have not run the defroster since I cleaned them several days ago. Park outside during work, covered parking at home.

Newspaper keeps the windows streak free for the most part, never use windex on tint its gonna make your tint purple over time, on tint use water or computer screen cleaner, But water is best

I'm with you that using water is best on tint, but the very professional shop that just installed the tint on my wife'* GP said to use Windex on it. I've seen purple tint before, but I haven't heard that Windex would turn smoke tint purple.

I don't really want to go so far as to say "no, Windex won't turn your tint purple" -becuase I have no experience with using it on tint, where it either did or did not turn it purple. But that'* what the tint place said to use on it, and I'd think it'* unlikely they'd say to use it if it would turn your tint purple.

I'd still agree with you and use water.

I've wiped my windows down a few more times with clean dry paper towels. It helped out a lot.
