well i think its more acceptable to call it euro grill instead of mesh...cuz that could be linked/conciderd by some to be ricer and we have nothing to do with them....except as roadkill

Call it whatever you'd like...

I'm happy with the way mine looks for Home Depot $7 gutter guard.

I hear ya Bill. Call it whatever you like. Gutter Guard Grille works for me.

Anyway...I was in the vicinity of Home Depot last night so figured I'd stop in and see if they had any heavier gauge gutter-guard since my last visit a few months ago. I found much nicer gutter-guard this time--heavier gauge and it was only $1.40 for a 6"x36" piece. I mocked it up and the 6" dimension appears to be plenty long enough. Stay tuned. I'll probably start cutting on it Friday afternoon. Search for "gutter guard" on HomeDepot.com. They've got a five-pack for under $7 if anyone is interested in this mod although I'm sure you can buy singles like I did at your local HD.

...and yes, it flattens out easily from it'* rounded shape.

New grille turned out well. I installed some in the lower grille area but didn't think it looked quite right. Had to shave a little bit of the tabs off to allow the grille perimeter enough room to snap into the slots in the front fascia. Was able to contour the grille material around the inside and outside rounded corners of the perimeter to give it some depth (second picture shows this pretty well). Nice looking, cheap and easy mod.
