Engine bay
I usually take mine to a car wash. I have used engine cleaner from Napa or Auto Zone and just followed the instructions on the can. Other times I apply the tire cleaner or engine degreaser (whichever is available in the bay), let it sit while I use the foaming brush on the body then rinse the engine bay with the wand. I try to spray it off with the least amount of water to do the job then drive it for a few miles to blow as much water off the engine as possible.
When you consider the fact that I'm very anal about my car being clean- I clean it all the time... Whatever. Its my car, and I intend to keep it looking as good as possible. Unloike her Ford Windstar which sucks...
I always get teased because I Armour All the engine bay. My engine is as clean as the rest of the car. A clean engine runs better, and mechanics will treat it better if they see it has been taken care of..
