Default engine bay

when cleaning an engine bay, what stuff should be used so that when the engine dries, this white residue doesn't appear on all the metal parts? (alternator, LIM, trans housing, etc)? I usually use engine brite or super clean/simple green type degreasers to wash her down. Any help would be great!

thanks

I've always used simple green and then just wipe it down.

X2.....You can use Black Magic 2 in 1 Engine Degreaser as well. That leaves a nice shine afterwards.

You can use CD-2 as well. I've had good luck with it and I knowvJAKSGTP likes it. I've also used the BM 2n1 purple mentioned
