Default Emblem / Moudling Removal

Is it possible to remove the Pontiac emblem and right and left side chrome moulding on a 2000 SE bumper cover to reuse on a new bumper cover? Are they just taped on or do they have tabs? Trying to save some bucks if I can.

Is it as simple as peeling it off and using double-sided tape to reapply? The body shop was telling me it wouldn't work very well.

yes it is or should be that simple. however sometimes it doesnt work out and new molding are requiered :?

It'* worth a shot since the old bumper cover will be trashed anyways. If it doesn't work, the Pontiac emblem will look good on my garage wall. :P

There'* a special tape to use. I'll look up the name right quick.


EDIT: I only described it as weatherproof Double-Sided foam tape. I'm not sure of the brand, but 3M seems to be right.

3M body and trim tape. It'* medium gray in color, and has a red backing strip.
