Just clean your emblem and put the new ones on if thats what you want. It isn't necessary to clear them. This way you can change colors when you want. If the overlay starts peeling, just take it off and put on a new one, they are only $5.

I would get the ones off ebay. Like another member said if you dont like it just throw them away or resell on ebay. Atleast your thinking about rebadging your car with what your car really is.
