Best thing I can tell you is...take it back out and fix it now. Don't wait..don't deal with it like that. Make it good now. You'll thank me for that...trust me.

Sand that texture down some, and get the SEM paint for it now. You'll be SO much happier with the smoother dull finish.

I'm sorry guys but I don't have the patience for trying to get this to look factory.
It serves the purpose for now and I can always modify it later.

I want to concentrate now on getting this engine back together.
I missed a dry road day today. :(

I'm excited about this temperature gauge and what it will tell me.

I know that a traditional pillar pod is a much cleaner way to go.......the use of my vent was even cleaner......but I had to make use of this pod and it was a fun project.

In the meantime I will try and source some SEM paint but it might be next years project.

So I took it off again, sanded down the texture quite a bit and then painted it Black Betty Flat Black instead of the Satin Black.
Much better.
I like the contrasting Black over the dark charcoal dash.

So it is done......for now.

All I have to do now is hook up the power and ground. The other 8 wires have been connected. So many wires for just one signal plus a light.

I tried taking various pics but they don't do it justice.

It looks just like the pics above except duller black and less texture.

You'll just have to see it in person............maybe by then I'll have some different paint.

Sweet, I love one of a kind items. You will probably never see another Bonneville with that pod.
