Default clear coat problem!! on my 2000ssei

am i the only one with this problem, the clear coat is gone(see in pic) it seem thats because the rear is kind larger than front and sand is blast to this place.

this winter ill install pads in front to help prevent that.

its called road rash. take a look at the 92-95 SSE and SSEi'* in the rear infront of the wheels......its the same

Ours is pretty chipped up there as well, but with almost 140k on it, thats to be expected. There is nothing you can really do except cover it up with something as you mentioned. Cars wear, you can't do much about it.

I've got the same problem from sanblasting especially in the winter months.

I hear ya about the winters. I think it (sanblast effect) is more apparent on the darker colors like our cars.

My 93SSE has the same thing (only 75k on her) I thought of doing the same and putting some chrome foil over it, like whats on the bottom of a truck door panel.
