Cool Change interior light color?

I am looking to change my interior lights, the map lights, door/floor lights to all red to match the dash. Do any of you know something I could use besides the little gel caps that a $5.00 for two at pepboys? That would be about 40 bucks for little plastic caps! I looked everwhere else, maybe there some other product not meant for it? And does anybody know if this would look good at night? call me out if its a dumb idea!! Girlfriend is very pissed I am thinking about doing this

?

Moved to Detailing & Appearance since this would be an appearance mod.

Yeah exactly. Only reason I would want LED bars is so I can the floor lit up and not have all the other lights on.

hmm I will try the O'Rileys by my house, I asked someone at autozone if they knew about colored bulbs, they looked like they were going to drool or something. If I cant find them, I have a nice brand new red sharpie!
