Default Bonneville front end on a Lesabre??!!

Hi. i have an 89 lesare. the front end has some damage as well as the front quarter. i was wonderng, since there arent any buicks of these years in any 5 of the salvage yards here, if i could put a bonneville front end on the car?the bumper, grill, and front quarter panels? any info is helpful.

Default yes

yes you can switch the entire front end.. the hood the grill the bumper the bumber support the header panel for the lights the fenders. and even the lights. some new mounting holes will be required... maybe the hood brackets too.

They should bolt up, but the style might be a bit differant. As 88bonnsse stated you wil probably need to make something for the hood to function prperly. The biggest concern would be if the body lines would flow together.

Your biggest concern probably is making sure the fenders line up with the doors correctly.

I was thinking if putting the front clip(grill/bumper) and side panels on and line em up first. Then if the lesabre hood matches with the bonny parts ill keep it(as theres nothing wrong with it and i like the way it opens). If it doesnt match up ill change it. I'll post some pics of the car as it sits now and update them as work is done.

if i'm not mistaken, doesn't the lesabre hood curve over the edge of the fenders?
it would be really cool to mount the bonneville hood on the lesabre hinges, but take care to adress the anti-guilittine system the stock hood employs. this is a common oversight on custom front hinged hoods, but will really save your neck in the event of a collision. literally.

yeah, i don't think it'll work unless you fully remount everything, i remember how the setup was on my 90 electra pa, which is the same front end and I know for sure, everything would have to be changed. probably even the front doors.
