Bigger Rims
I'm requesting any help on determining a decent rim size for my 1997 SSEi. I'm wanting to purchase these rims 17x7.5 American Racing AR887 Chrome Wheels. I'm not sure as to the size I should buy. I don't want to go any bigger than 18s. I live in an area with an excessive amount of potholes so I don't want to go to low profile with the tire size either. I'm stuck on 17s or 18s and I don't know what would look good without hurting performance. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I use to have 18" rims on my 98' ssei. I ended up switching back to the stock sixteens. Potholes were hell and those wide wheels would follow all the contours of the road. Your always fighting just to go straight, which can't be good for your power steering.
If you want looks and performance, I think the 17'* will be better. I'm actually looking some newer pontiac 17'* to put on mine. Just my 2 cents.
