Greased Lightning Orange Blast works well. It'* not a dedicated engine cleaner, though.

After a long hard canadian winter this is what I use, I love the smell

Your also going to need an assortment of brushes and rags. I found a bathroom Grout brush that is great for all the nooks and crannies but an old tooth brush will work fine.

I also wrap the coils, alternator, pcm and throttle bottle in plastic bags (7-11 type?) and masking tape. I rinse with a garden hose and dont want to risk any water damage, after the engine bay is clean I remove the bags and clean them individualy taking extra care.
If you have compressed air it is a good idea blow dry the injector valleys but a rag will soak them up just fine.

Best advice I can give you is take your time and enjoy your work, try and do it in the shade and drink plenty of fluids

PDad'* got it down right. Also, It doesn't have that great citrus smell, but Spray-Nine works excelent.

Now, some people swear by covering some items, like the coil packs and alternator, but I've always just been to the point. Use the pressure washer, just if you're not comfortable with spraying an area, cover it, or keep away from it.

Either way, as long as you put some time into it, it'll look good.

I use any kind of degreaser, when I am done I use WD-30 to make the engine compartment shine I use a few coats then wipe of the excess. I do my engine compartment a few times a year. The salt from the winters cant stick to the chemical in WD-30. So it works well.. Good luc k
