what is the best cloth/rag/glove or other to wash my car with.. i dont want to hair line scratch the new paint when i finally wash it..
Decent quality microfibers. I buy mine in bulk at Sam'* Club. I believe a pack of 24 is around $12-$15. Just as important, use two buckets when you wash, and avoid automatic carwashes like the plague. My wife'* Jeep was a dark green, and her Acura is a dark grey, and no scratches ever since new on either of those. My Bonne'* black, but the only scratches present were there when I bought it. In a few weeks I'll clay bar and buff it, and it should be fine. The Meguiar'* NXT is a pretty decent inexpensive wax, if you're looking for something that works well and won't bankrupt you. Easily found as well.

i was told by many not to wax it or anything untill atleast 3 -4 months after i got the paint job..
Ditto what'* been said. Most car wash media are good, they just have to be used correctly. You can use a microfiber mitt, sheepskin mitt, sponge (a good soft one with open pores). Use two buckets, one to rinse off the mitt before going back in the soap. Have a good coat of wax on the paint to reduce abrasion of the paint. Don't rub hard on the paint, and use a good car soap with good lubricity.
The other key that gets forgottn is in drying. Use good soft microfiber towels to dry. I like to blow the car first with a leaf blower so I can just lightly wipe it afterwards.

Interesting comparison between Gold Class and Liquid Glass there.
More updates on page 3. Longer term test.

I like the sheepskin mitts as well. The 2 bucket system works really well. Do not skimp on the car wash soap.
Edit:
Do not use a sheepskin mitt on the tires or wheels. Use a lower cost microfiber o\r all cotton mitt for wheel duty.

I have a microfiber sponge that looks like something out of the bottom of the ocean
my dad calls it the muppet sponge. it works really well...easy to control..and has a scrubby side for bugs and stuff.
for soap, i use gold class and for wax, i use either gold class or NXT 2.0. i find the nxt to be far superior to even gold class, which i'm a huge fan of.
microfiber is your friend, washing, polishing, waxing, glass cleaning whatever. its the best imo.

Wash with a grout sponge, dry with a waffle weave mf or Viking drying mf, and finish it all off with a coat of your favorite wax. Good OTC washes are Gold Class and NXT. Duragloss 901 has a great reputation but it isn't always available locally.
