Has anyone else noticed a difference between beam pattern of 92 headlights vs later? I've got a 92 "PONTIAC" light and a newer non-black edge light on the passenger side. Looking at them the newer looks clearer and brighter and it puts out brighter more focused light than the 92. I've got a newer light for the driver side, but I so dearly love my 92 correct PONTIAC driver lamp.

What should I do?

Did you buy one of those pontiac decals for the light? I have a couple around here somehwere, and can't find them now. :(

I have 93 and 95 OEM lights, and a few other spares, and haven't noticed any difference in them, other than the inside shroud.

I didn't buy a decal cause I already had the light.

If I knew where mine were, I'd send one.

I've always wondered how bright mine really appear. I have both bulb shrouds too (which I never thought helped too much). I constantly get people flashing their headlights at me a night as if my high beams were on. But my high beams don't even work.

I forgot about the shroud. I removed the shroud from the 92. The other light didn't have one to begin with. Do you think it would make a difference?

what is this Shroud you speak of?

Some of the 92-95 lights have a 'ring' around the lamp. It directs the light more where you want it.

I THINK it was later? Or was it earlier? Hell. I dunno. I know one of my cars has them, the other doesn't.

Probably the green one. With the supercharger.

A piece inside the headlamp the the bulb sits in. It'* on the low beam to prevent glare for other drivers I suppose. They took it out of the design after a year or two. If you are mixing and matching lights and brackets, you'll notice a slight difference in the way they attach to eachother as well.
