Armor All--safe or not?
I've always used the ArmorAll wipes on my dash and plastic. Never had problems. But you do have to rub it in completely and evenly. My dash stays clean and has a nice slight shine to it weeks after I clean it. And of course they work wonders on engines.
I have the wipes, too. Very easy to use. But don't use the armor-all glass wipes if you have tinted windows. I was warned by my installer that they have a chemical in them that ruins the tint film.

I haven't heard anything bad about ArmorAll, so I use it. I also use the Turtle Wax 2001 protectant. It does an excellent job on the interior and the engine compartment
I've always used a good leather conditioner cream. I'd put a small amount on one of those cotton pads you use to hand wax your car and just do the dash and door panels. It cleans it as well as conditions it without shining like ArmorAll. For the wood-like trim and radio/HVAC, I've just used 3M'* microfiber.
I just use dish detergent an warm water. I gets so hot here in Florida during the summer that the heat seems to cook that stuff on the dash. My dash started looking a little dark and off color after a while, so I stopped using the Aumour All. Had a friend who used it on his 4Ti and absolutely screwed his dash up over time. By the time he realized the Aumour All was cooking on his dash, it was too late and damage was done.
