Default Anyone ever fixed/tried to fix the stiching on leather seats

On my drivers seat the thread is starting to come out on the back on the part closet to the drivers door. Has anyone tried to re-stitch it so it doesn't keep falling apart? The leather is a little cracked but if I could fix the string I would just put some stuff in there that is made to fix rips.

Yes. I did it by removing the cover from the seat, ripping the seams and removing the damaged piece. Bought junkyard leather seat, (rear bench from Park Ave) used old piece for pattern, cut out new from JY seat, sprayed leather to match (three coats) with leather dye (paint) from shoemaker. Sewed new piece in place of old and re-installed cover. Not easy, but it did a nice job and cost about $30 total.
