The problem with putting 96-99 HL'* on a 92-95 is you will need the grille and the fenders -the 92-95 grille might work, but look at how the headlights on the 96-99 mounts to the car -you will need the mounting bracket, which in turn gets in the way of 92-95 corner lenses being mounted (not to mention the newer HL won't match up with the cornering lense), and with the 96-99 HL, cornering lamps, and mounting in place there'll be a gap around the cornering light due to their size compared to the 92-95 fender contours for the 92-95 cornering lamps.
If you are good with putty and painting you could just fill in the gap, but it'd be alot easier to just get the newer fenders in matching color from a salvage yard.
My $.02
PS. Just do the 96-99 trunk/spoiler/tails upgrade like Jimmy Floyd and I have done -it works better on a SSE/SSEi though because the trunk and tails from 96-99'* hang out over the bumper on 92-95 SE/SLE'*.
